Wall thickness:15mm
Length:100m
Application:Concrete rainwater and sewage pipe
Project Introduction:This rehabilitation project targeted an aging square culvert pipe buried 5-6 meters deep. Due to prolonged use, the inner wall had developed varying degrees of damage and blockage, severely impairing the city's drainage efficiency and disrupting residents' daily lives.
Construction Challenge:
1. The first case in China without experience support
The use of UV-CIPP technology for square culvert pipes rehabilitation in this project involved complex structures and high-precision requirements. Due to the uniqueness of the pipe, we cannot directly draw on existing construction cases or technical experience, which bought enormous pressure and challenges to the practical application of Pro-liner UV-CIPP liners and UV Curing system.
2. Difficulty in laying UV-CIPP liners with large diameter and wall thickness
With a large wall thickness of 15mm and a length of 100 meters, and a weight of 17 tons,it was difficult to lay and pull liners, and required the assistance of a large crane and winch.
3. Single section curing distance was long with high equipment requirements
The pipe to be repaired this time had a single section of 100 meters and a curing time of up to 7 hours, which required high equipment performance and stability; And it was made of DN1950 large pipe diameter and 15mm large wall thickness UV-CIPP liners, requiring the assistance of Pro-liner UV Curing system with a curing power of 2 * 6 * 1500W.
4. The curing of the square culvert pipe was difficult, and the lamp frame needed to be modified
The pipe to be repaired was an arched square culvert, and the lamp frame had also been specially modified on site to facilitate better curing of the irregular diameter UV-CIPP liners.
