Application:Egg-shape sewage pipe

Project Introduction:Due to the narrow roads, heavy traffic flow, and a large population of surrounding residents, it was impossible to cut off water supply for a long time, so it was difficult to repair the sewage pipes by means of excavation. Moreover, the original pipe was an irregular egg-shape one, which made the rehabilitation more difficult. In order to extend the service life of the original pipe, after comparing various construction methods and comprehensively considering the actual on-site factors, the trenchless UV-CIPP technology was finally adopted for its rehabilitation.

Construction Challenge:

1. Low outdoor temperature

The temperature was close to 0 ℃ at night during construction. The characteristics of Pro-liner liner lies in their high toughness and excellent stability, which can adapt to extreme temperature changes, resist severe winter and heat, and provide long-lasting protection for pipes.

2. Narrow roads with high traffic volume

Construction was carried out after 10 pm throughout the entire process and was completed before dawn. It did not affect normal traffic during the day.

3. The original pipe was old, irregularly shaped, and severely corroded

After conducting surveys and CCTV surveys on the original pipe in the early stage, it was found that the pipe was first built in the 1940s, more than 70 years ago. The pipe was irregular egg-shaped and the inside was seriously corroded.
